<p><h4>Job purpose</h4> <p>To maintain, repair HVAC system in process area. Perform preventive and shutdown maintenance, inspection, repair, installation and commissioning of HVAC i.e. heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems in Majnoon.</p> <h4>Duties and responsibilities</h4> <ul> <li>Maintain, install, and repair HVAC, air conditioning, ventilation and heating systems.</li> <li>Troubleshoot issues with industrial HVAC system.</li> <li>Conduct performance tests with specialized tools and adjust system settings to keep the system reliable.</li> <li>Downloading and uploading programs in PLCs such as Siemens, Schneider, ABB, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley etc.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and repair the smart VRF HVAC units which are having BLDC motors and programmed electronic cards.</li> <li>Carry out brazing with oxy acetylene set to replace compressors, rectifying copper pipe leaks and modifying refrigerant pipe lines.</li> <li>Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls, including thermostats, automatic switches, fan controls, log switches, damper motors, louvers, relays, filters, controls, belts, compressors, heat exchangers, high limit controls, pressure controls.</li> <li>Operate a variety of hand and power tools, brazing torch, vacuum pump, test equipment utilized.</li> <li>Install and calibrate systems; install copper tubing and repair pipes and tubing as necessary; test joints and insulate pipes of HVAC, air conditioning systems; flush rebuild pressure and temperature.</li> <li>Install compressors, evaporators, motors, ducts, and piping as well as mechanical/electrical controls; read and interpret blueprints/diagrams.</li> <li>Troubleshoot breakdowns and repair malfunctioning HVAC systems and components; utilize measuring and testing instruments.</li> <li>Demonstrated exceptional time management skills; organized and prioritized high volume of work orders to ensure maximum quality.</li> </ul> <h4>Qualifications & experience</h4> <ul> <li>University degree in related discipline.</li> <li>8-10 years’ experience of HVAC system and AC units within a large industrial plant, preferably in the oil and gas industry.</li> <li>Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.</li> <li>Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.</li> <li>Computer and software skills: <ul> <li>Excel – advanced</li> <li>Word – intermediate</li> <li>PowerPoint – intermediate</li> </ul> </li> <li>Intermediate proficiency in English verbal and written.</li> </ul> <h4>Skills</h4> <ul> <li>Knowledge of materials, methods and tools used in the operation and repair of HVAC.</li> <li>Knowledge of welding and soldering techniques.</li> <li>Proper methods of storing equipment.</li> <li>Aware about PTW system and working in oil field.</li> <li>Have IT skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, SharePoint etc.).</li> <li>Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.</li> <li>Work cooperatively with others.</li> <li>Work independently with little direction.</li> <li>Meet schedules and timelines.</li> <li>Maintain routine records and prepare reports.</li> </ul></p><p></p>

<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>We are recruiting for a Site NDT QC Inspector with the following details</p><br><p>Location: Basra, Iraq </p><p>Work Scheme : Rotational 28 days ON and 28 days OFF </p><p>Planned Start Date : Sept 2026 </p><p>Duration : 2 years, extendable </p><br><p>Missions:</p><ul><li><p>The QC NDT Inspector is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and controlling all Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities performed by Contractors and Subcontractors within the Project – CPF2 Package. </p></li><li><p>He ensures that all NDT activities are executed in full compliance with project specifications, approved procedures, international codes, and contractual requirements. </p></li><li><p>The position reports directly to the CPF2 Site QC Superintendent and works closely with QC Welding PVV, QC Welding Structural, QC Piping, QC Mechanical, QC Civil/Structural, and Contractor/Subcontractor NDT teams. </p></li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><ul><li><p>Minimum 10 years of experience in <strong><u>NDT QC </u></strong>on major Oil &amp; Gas EPC projects.</p></li><li><p>Strong experience with piping, pressure vessels, and structural NDT.</p></li><li><p>Experience on CPF, refinery, or large industrial facilities strongly preferred.</p></li><li><p>Technical competencies:</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of NDT methods and acceptance criteria; PCN Level 2/3 certification will be evaluated as a significant asset</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of ASME, API, AWS, ISO 9712, and project specifications.</p></li><li><p>Ability to interpret NDT reports, weld maps, and technical drawings.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of weld repair cycles and re-inspection requirements.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of NCR, deviation, and concession processes.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with digital QC systems (Aconex, SharePoint, SmartPlant, etc.) is a plus.</p></li></ul><p></p></section>
