<p>The Chief Engineer will be based at one of the Amentum sites in Iraq and serve the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of State. The Chief Engineer is responsible for all water purification, water storage, water distribution and wastewater treatments, as well as generators, and associated power generation, transmission and distribution equipment. The Chief Engineer is also responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of power plants, generators, compressors, air conditioning systems, etc., and operates industrial machinery and equipment in various forms.</p><p>DUTIES:</p><ul><li>Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring safety is the highest priority in the workplace.</li><li>Comply with all Environmental &amp; Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. The STF will be located on the west side of the Khor Al Zubair, upstream of the port of Umm Qasr and will have the following key components:</p> <ul> <li>Site development and non-process facilities.</li> <li>Ancillaries and buildings.</li> <li>Seawater intake and outfall structures.</li> <li>Material off-loading facility.</li> <li>Seawater clarification, filtration and deoxygenating processes.</li> <li>Chemical addition systems.</li> <li>Shipping pumps.</li> <li>Power generation.</li> <li>Utilities.</li> </ul> <p>FEED was completed (June 2016) with Phase 1 capacity of 7.5 million barrels of water per day (MMBWPD) of treated seawater, with a subsequent Phase 2 of 5 MMBWPD for a total buildout capacity of 12.5 MMBWPD. The project was placed on hold upon the completion of FEED.</p> <p>In 2018 BOC launched a call for tender on the FEED, but instructed bidders to reduce capacity to 5.0 MMBWPD, with provision for a future addition of 2.5 MMBWPD for a total build-out phase of 7.5 MMBWPD.</p> <h4>Accountabilities</h4> <p>Accountable for the interfaces and management of change (MoC), being internal (between units, disciplines, PMT, One Tech and specialists) or external (between other CSSP projects, contractors, company, etc.). The job holder coordinates all interface and MoC matters, protecting the WI Project and company’s position with regards to all external interfaces and to internal interfaces between contractors, and ensuring that changes are evaluated and executed for the overall benefit of the project.</p> <p>Accordingly, the job holder shall make the necessary coordination between all involved contractors/parties and company teams and implement an agreed interface management procedure and methodology. He/she shall ensure the proper and timely follow-up and resolution of interface issues between the various involved parties documents. He/she must support the Interface Manager to ensure full control of the Management of Change process, and shall document all the changes, taking care to perform a full review with various disciplines with project aspects to justify or reject the change.</p> <p>A key aspect of interface coordination is the ability to effectively communicate, across all involved parties, all details related to an interface, including requirements, technical specifications, and potential issues. <p><h4>Position overview</h4> <p>The wastewater treatment plant supervisor will be based at one of three Amentum sites in Iraq and serve the operations and maintenance support services (OMSS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of State. This position will be responsible for the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment operations as well as providing support of RO water purification production and distribution systems including SALCON, Arkel Int. and Advanced Water-Tek water purification units, underground tanks, domestic water pumps, cold water distribution pipes, valves and other equipment up to and including the shutoff valves just before the interior and exterior end points for the showers, toilets, and faucets that service the buildings and exterior spigots and fountains. The wastewater treatment plant supervisor will report to the chief engineer or utilities manager. <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>Under general supervision from the Production Manager, <br> The Production Supervisor works in a multi-discipline Asset Operations Team to develop potentially large and challenging unconventional plays and mature oil and gas fields. <br> Identifies innovative ways to apply HAL technology, service capability and expertise within the context of understanding the reservoir, production and facilities to design new, step-change field exploitation methodologies. <br> Integral member of the multi-discipline Production Team comprised of a reservoir engineer, production geologist and field personnel team. <br> Analyzes production history, well files, production equipment and decline curve analysis and nodal analysis of well performance to estimate remaining recoverable reserves, production and cost of upgrading equipment. <br> Selects and implements production technology, service capability and expertise including completion systems comprised of tubing selection, perforating, sand control and fine migration, matrix stimulation, water control and hydraulic fracturing; artificial lift equipment comprised of sucker-rod lift, gas lift, electrical submersible pumps, subsurface hydraulic pumps, progressing-cavity pumps and plunger lift; real-time surveillance and monitoring systems and waterflooding and other enhanced recovery techniques. <br> Uses decline curve analysis and nodal analysis to identify workovers or recompletions candidates and to select and upgrade production equipment. <br> Focuses on maintaining and increasing daily production through optimizing well performance and field operations while controlling operating costs. <br> Performs daily field operations including optimizing well behavior, production, water disposal, chemical injection and treatment, waterflood performance and artificial lift systems. <br> Evaluates proposed modifications to equipment or to operating procedures to improve safety, efficiency and reliability of equipment and ensures all modifications meet statutory and Company standards. <br> Develops and maintains good working relationships with Production Team through effective communication and teamwork.</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p>Requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with geologists, engineers, contractors and asset teams to successfully execute projects from concept to operation; over time, incumbent will become very knowledgeable of HAL technologies and solutions experience together with the exploitation methodologies and technologies that other companies apply. <br> Requires an undergraduate degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of industry experience. The Fire Fighter will be responsible for utilizing resources to accomplish operational requirements and will report to their assigned Crew Chief or Assistant Site Chief.
