<p><h4>Position overview</h4> <p>The wastewater treatment plant supervisor will be based at one of three Amentum sites in Iraq and serve the operations and maintenance support services (OMSS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of State. This position will be responsible for the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment operations as well as providing support of RO water purification production and distribution systems including SALCON, Arkel Int. and Advanced Water-Tek water purification units, underground tanks, domestic water pumps, cold water distribution pipes, valves and other equipment up to and including the shutoff valves just before the interior and exterior end points for the showers, toilets, and faucets that service the buildings and exterior spigots and fountains. The wastewater treatment plant supervisor will report to the chief engineer or utilities manager. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.</p> <h4>Duties</h4> <ul> <li>Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.</li> <li>Comply with all environmental health & safety and quality assurance requirements and goals. Risk Management):</p><ul><li>Assist in establishing and overseeing systems to efficiently control the quality of protection initiatives, ensuring activities meet donor and community expectations.</li><li>Apply quality benchmarks to the project in coordination with the MEAL team to monitor and improve project performance.</li><li>Maintain project budgets to ensure the efficient use of resources</li><li>Coordinate with finance and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources necessary for project implementation.</li><li>Manage day-to-day grant activities, ensuring that project activities comply with the grant agreement and expenditures align with grant guidelines.</li><li>Ensure local partners fulfil their roles as per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), maintaining accountability and performance standards.</li><li>Identify potential risks in project implementation and work with relevant teams to develop mitigation strategies</li></ul><p>10% Coordination with local community groups/ Government Departments/ Other stake holders (Internal and External):</p><ul><li>When required, collaborate with the Operations Manager, Project Coordinator and Technical Advisor to represent World Vision at interagency coordination meetings.</li><li>Actively participate in Protection Working Gorup, and coordination Meetings and attend relevant state-level meetings.</li><li>Represent WVI projects on internal World Vision Communities of Practice (CoPs) and working groups and other relevant forums.</li><li>Coordinate day-to-day operations and financial management of protection activities, ensuring all implemented activities align with approved project work plans.</li><li>Liaise with the Project Coordinator, Project Manager and Technical Advisor to ensure smooth project execution.</li><li>Community and Authority Engagement:</li><li>Liaise with beneficiary communities, protection technical working groups, and local authorities to ensure project sites are selected according to project design requirements and community needs.</li><li>Coordinate with school management and the Directorate of Education to ensure smooth implementation of school-based activities</li><li>Assist in obtaining necessary approvals for protection activities from local authorities and relevant government departments.</li><li>Foster strong relationships with community groups and government departments to facilitate effective project implementation and ensure alignment with local policies and regulations.</li><li>Support collaboration with local partners and stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of protection initiatives.</li><li>Ensure all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.</li></ul><p>10% Monitoring, Reporting and Administration:</p><ul><li>Draft monthly report including all required information of the updates of the activities and make sure of submitting on time.</li><li>Ensure project documentation is up to date and project records, photos and contracts, correspondences are filed.</li><li>Assist with monitoring the indicators and quality benchmarks to achieve the targets.</li><li>Contribute to the preparation of internal and external reports.</li><li>Support Project Manager/ Project Coordinator in compiling the reports through managing all the project data to be provided at any time necessary.</li><li><br></li></ul>
