Experience in an international organization or UN agency is preferred. Familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods and standards (e.g. OECD/DAC evaluation criteria) is required. <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>Under general supervision from the Production Manager, <br> The Production Supervisor works in a multi-discipline Asset Operations Team to develop potentially large and challenging unconventional plays and mature oil and gas fields. <br> Identifies innovative ways to apply HAL technology, service capability and expertise within the context of understanding the reservoir, production and facilities to design new, step-change field exploitation methodologies. <br> Integral member of the multi-discipline Production Team comprised of a reservoir engineer, production geologist and field personnel team. <br> Analyzes production history, well files, production equipment and decline curve analysis and nodal analysis of well performance to estimate remaining recoverable reserves, production and cost of upgrading equipment. <br> Selects and implements production technology, service capability and expertise including completion systems comprised of tubing selection, perforating, sand control and fine migration, matrix stimulation, water control and hydraulic fracturing; artificial lift equipment comprised of sucker-rod lift, gas lift, electrical submersible pumps, subsurface hydraulic pumps, progressing-cavity pumps and plunger lift; real-time surveillance and monitoring systems and waterflooding and other enhanced recovery techniques. <br> Uses decline curve analysis and nodal analysis to identify workovers or recompletions candidates and to select and upgrade production equipment. <br> Focuses on maintaining and increasing daily production through optimizing well performance and field operations while controlling operating costs. <br> Performs daily field operations including optimizing well behavior, production, water disposal, chemical injection and treatment, waterflood performance and artificial lift systems. <br> Evaluates proposed modifications to equipment or to operating procedures to improve safety, efficiency and reliability of equipment and ensures all modifications meet statutory and Company standards. <br> Develops and maintains good working relationships with Production Team through effective communication and teamwork.</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p>Requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with geologists, engineers, contractors and asset teams to successfully execute projects from concept to operation; over time, incumbent will become very knowledgeable of HAL technologies and solutions experience together with the exploitation methodologies and technologies that other companies apply. <br> Requires an undergraduate degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of industry experience. Degree in geology or engineering is preferred.</p><p></p></section>
<p>Under direct supervision: The Well Engineer is responsible for well proposals and the Basis of Design. Provides Operation Plans and prepares Programs as well as assures technical integrity of Operations planning and execution. Responsible for the day-to-day surveillance of operations. Responsible for the creation of Approval for Expenditure (AFE) and performs cost control of operations. Participates in risk assessment, forecasts and plans medium and long term needs to meet program requirements, and anticipates operational changes and needs. Prepares equipment lists and identifies long lead items. Ensures proper communication within the project. Performs engineering studies to solve recurring problems. Prepares End-of-Well reports and contributes to knowledge management.</p><p>Additional Role Responsibilities: (1) Ability and flexibility to travel to Iraq both domestically and internationally typically 28/28 days per business required. (2) Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a relevant Engineering specialization (3) Manages all aspects of rig operations including HS&E, detail well planning, well construction, resourcing, cost reporting, performance management, materials and logistics, service company performance and management systems compliance (4) Manages the team, ensures activities are prioritized effectively and that the team delivers results in line with approved plans and timescales. (5) Develops a high level of responsibility and ownership within the team and promotes continuous improvement in the development of technical expertise and competency, standards and practices, commercial awareness and innovative thinking. (6) Demonstrated experience working on diverse, cross-functional teams. (7) Demonstrated Managership skills. (8) Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders demands and issues on a Global scale. (9) Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deadlines. (10) Excellent communication skills (oral and written). (11) Strong acumen for technology development and innovation.</p><p>Qualifications Requires a Bachelors degree in STEM, preference in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering, and 4 or more years of well services / intervention experience. Supervisory experience and exposure to Multi-discipline operations is preferred. Must have Well Control Certificate.
