Prepare C&E diagrams, Control Narratives, Vessels sketches. P&IDs revision and comments. Participation in HAZOP and SIL studies: implement and close the Actions Items corresponding to Instrumentation Discipline. Preparation of Requisitions for Inquiries. Carry out Technical Tabulations. Interact with vendors (meetings and correspondence) intending to resolve all technical clarifications. Preparation of Vendor Selection Reports for the awarding of the Technical Bid. Preparation of Requisitions for Purchase. Approve and follow up on information supplied by vendors, be it supplied by Instrumentation Discipline or by other disciplines. If needed, and base on Department Manager criterion, Specialist can support with Construction and Commisioning phases, moving at Site. For all PO’s under his responsibility, ensure that corresponding targets are achieved, regarding to:Technical Level. Men Hours Budget. Quality Levels and Procedural Compliance (PDTs, ITGs). Planning.3D model review and isometric checking.<br>Management:<br>Coordinating exchange of required information with other disciplines (Piping, Electricity, Mechanical, Vessels; Civil; Construction; Process, Purchasing and Inspection) Supervise Purchase Orders and Design activities under his/her responsibility, in order to comply with established milestones regarding the submittal of information and equipment delivery. Lessons Learned. Notification of Design Changes, having a log of Changes for requisitions under his/her responsibility. Coordinating, taking into account the Project Schedule, the data sheets issue, technical tabulations and activities related with requisition under his/her responsibility, having the log weekly updated. Detecting situations that interfere with the team work, reporting back to the Discipline Leader, for the prompt implementation of corrective actions. Using work tools properly and correctly Maintain updated the electronic filing system “Documentum” according with the Project procedures. Maintain updated the List of holds.<br>Requirements:<br>Valid MMUP/UPDA First Category Engineer certification/registration.<br>Minimum 12–15 years of relevant engineering experience, including substantial experience in Qatar/GCC;Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Engineering in the relevant discipline;Strong relevant Engineering and Project experience;Previous experience working on major projects in Qatar is highly preferred;Good knowledge of Qatar Engineering standards, regulations, and Project requirements;Strong communication, coordination, and technical skills.

Coordinate review and approval of design and interfaces on client requirements and specifications.<br>Education, Qualifications, Accreditation, Training<br><br>Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university. MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.<br><br>Technical And Industry Experience<br><br>Civil Structural engineering experience in oil and gas for offshore and onshore projects Engineering experience in the same or similar industry, including experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams. Good knowledge of discipline design/engineering with sufficient experience in different discipline areas. <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>Steward various phases of electrical engineering during installation, pre-commissioning Site acceptance test and commissioning activities. During start-up and early operations phases, until the performance tests completion, provide ADHOC field engineering assistance. Accountable for ensuring execution of work is technically aligned and in compliance with LNG Operations, Policies, Standards of Business Conduct and Project Management System. Leads electrical engineering design and planning activities and ensures contractors develop detailed design in accordance with local regulatory requirements, industry standards, project specifications and any approved variations. Resolve electrical discipline issues to ensure engineering design addresses Project's expectations and objectives. Communicate and elevate issues before they escalate to Project Management when necessary. Review, evaluate and advise on electrical simulations, optimization, in compliance with design methods, safety factors (for Large Electrical Generation and Distribution System, Large motor drivers, VFDs in both Motoring and Generating modes, combined cycle power generation, HV switchgears, Electrical Integrated Control System (ELICS) and Power management System for Generation, Load sharing and Distribution Control). Review technical aspects of electrical equipment purchase orders with Contractor and vendors in accordance with the roles and responsibilities stated in applicable contract(s) to ensure safe and seamless integration of new electrical equipment into the existing operating facilities (when applicable). Assess discipline plans and work schedules to ensure effective completion of project activities and provide data (narrative, charts, graphs), change management recommendations and recovery plans to address any schedule delays. Develop, update and amend design / project philosophies, specifications and procedures ensuring that all references to Electrical Engineering are current and relevant. Monitor and provide guidance to Contractor to ensure key discipline deliverables, progress / milestones are met. Recommend additional technical support where necessary to address gaps. Coordinate and analyze discipline issues for resolution. Provide Electrical Engineering input to other engineering disciplines, construction, procurement etc. as necessary. Support commissioning, start-up and system completing activities and make appropriate recommendations to management on Electrical matters. Leads Electrical interface coordination with offshore, onshore, RLIC, and Kahramaa power supplier, or any third party, as required.</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p>Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering</p><p>8 years experience in Piping Engineering roles, including 4 years in the Oil & Gas Industry, and 1 year's experience in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor / subcontractors / service / vendor personnel.</p><p>Preferable experience in a major LNG Project.</p><p>Broad knowledge of engineering execution includes design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, onshore LNG facilities and utility systems design, construction and operations.</p><p>Requires demonstrated broad Electrical equipment and systems experience (HV/MV/LV electrical systems design, transformers, switchgear, power management systems, electrical system controls for reactive and active power sharing, power distribution control, large Motors, 40MW+) and familiarity with relevant manufacturing processes and relevant industry codes.</p><p>High voltage and large-scale onshore power design requirements.</p><p>Excellent written and oral English skills.</p><p>Strong organizational, planning and coordination skills.</p><p>Strong technical, prioritization and management skills.</p><p>Good communication, influencing and interface skills.</p><p>Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, etc.</p><p></p></section>
