<h4>Job responsibilities</h4>
<ul>
<li>Provide technical leadership, advice and support in the implementation of Safety Management Systems.</li>
<li>Provide HSEQ input in the risk and safety studies performed (e.g. HAZOP, HAZID), participate in internal audits, conduct independent safety tours, and support safety improvements, including root cause analysis (RCA) and procedure development, with a particular focus on process safety.</li>
<li>Improve process safety awareness across the organization, particularly among engineers and project leaders, through continuous improvement initiatives, management of change (MOC), and joint site inspections.</li>
<li>Facilitate and participate in P&ID reviews, HEMP, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, layout safety reviews, PSSR, 3D model reviews, safety audits, QRA workshops, and other relevant process and technical safety studies.</li>

<li>Participate in the commissioning, start-up, and performance testing of new projects, verifying the availability and functionality of process and technical safety systems.</li>
<li>Develop process safety management procedures, monitor their implementation, and evaluate their effectiveness.</li>
<li>Develop technical supply specifications, technical design guidelines, and basis for design documentation for large-scale MOCs.</li>
<li>Support HSE, process safety, and asset integrity audits and coordinate the planning and implementation of resulting corrective actions.</li>
<li>Participate in process incidents investigations.</li>

Responsible for the supervision of an assigned aircraft or structural firefighting crew on an alternating shift, supervising all assigned crew members in fire ground situations as well as the performance of care and maintenance of apparatus and equipment as defined in the current task order, Performance Work Standard (PWS), and as directed by Vectrus. Responsible for implementing and maintaining all fire protection services related functional standards within their assigned department IAW the Statement of Work. Implements the Fire Chief’s comprehensive firefighting program at the assigned installation to ensure compliance with AR 420-1, Army Facilities Management, Chapter 25, Fire and Emergency Services, Local work instructions, and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Guidelines. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. + Reports to the Assistant Chief of Operations and functions under their direct supervision. + Supervises a structural and/or aircraft firefighting crew at assigned fire department to ensure compliance with PWS and all local requirements are met. + Assigns, directs, and reviews the work of assigned subordinate employees who assist in carrying out program activities. Ensure timely submittal of CDRL, deliverable, and work product reports pertaining to the operations section as required. Ensure scheduling of required fire protection equipment inspections to comply and meet PWS requirements for the department. + Prevents loss of life and minimizes damage to property and the environment from fire by directing fire attack, confinement, salvage, overhaul, ventilation and rescue activities, to include performing emergency medical care and CPR. Protects and preserves evidence at a fire scene and may participate in investigation of fire incidents. + Assures that procedures are affected; station logs and other records pertinent to reports, activities, drills, equipment inspections, etc., are maintained properly and submitted within time limits, if required. + Maintains current knowledge of the base, its structures, and all systems related to fire protection. + Ensures related firefighting duties are accomplished and documented as outlined in the PWS and department work instructions. When aircraft/facility pre-fire plans are outdated, develop and provide updates. Performs required operators maintenance and tests on rescue tools and saws, ground ladders, fire hose, ropes, harnesses and hardware; serviceable inspections of firefighters’ protective firefighting clothing; and enforces mandated standards for a respiratory protection program for self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). + Participates in career and proficiency training programs designed to increase technical proficiency of firefighters. Provide and conducts scheduled training as prescribed by the Fire Chief’s Annual Training Plan and as scheduled by the Assistant Fire Chief. + When first to arrive on-scene, serves as the incident commander of a fire/crash scene until relieved by the Assistant Fire Chief. Directs the placement of firefighting equipment and personnel to ensure maximum utilization in fire control of aircraft crash/rescue operations. Assesses the fire scene/emergency situation to facilitate fire/rescue operations and to brief the Assistant Fire Chief upon arrival. + Leads and directs assigned firefighting crew to provide safe and proper rescue operations of endangered persons. Ensures rescue operations are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures and minimize the risk of additional danger to firefighting personnel and endangered persons. Employs firefighting measures to minimize the loss or damage as a result of fire or explosions. Responds to hazardous material incidents; leads operations level actions, as directed by the Assistant Fire Chief, to establish control of the affected area with minimal risk to response + As required and/or assigned, oversees fire alarm communication center operations to ensure all firefighting equipment and personnel are dispatched as required. Responsible for implementing and maintaining all fire protection services related functional standards within their assigned department IAW the Statement of Work. Implements the Fire Chief’s comprehensive firefighting program at the assigned installation to ensure compliance with AR 420-1, Army Facilities Management, Chapter 25, Fire and Emergency Services, Local work instructions, and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Guidelines. When aircraft/facility pre-fire plans are outdated, develop and provide updates. Performs required operators maintenance and tests on rescue tools and saws, ground ladders, fire hose, ropes, harnesses and hardware; serviceable inspections of firefighters protective firefighting clothing; and enforces mandated standards for a respiratory protection program for self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).</li> <li>Participates in career and proficiency training programs designed to increase technical proficiency of firefighters. Provide and conducts scheduled training as prescribed by the Fire Chief s Annual Training Plan and as scheduled by the Assistant Fire Chief.</li> <li>When first to arrive on-scene, serves as the incident commander of a fire/crash scene until relieved by the Assistant Fire Chief. Determines the best course of action to minimize loss or damage from fires or explosions. Directs the placement of firefighting equipment and personnel to ensure maximum utilization in fire control of aircraft crash/rescue operations. Assesses the fire scene/emergency situation to facilitate fire/rescue operations and to brief the Assistant Fire Chief upon arrival.</li> <li>Leads and directs assigned firefighting crew to provide safe and proper rescue operations of endangered persons. Ensures rescue operations are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures and minimize the risk of additional danger to firefighting personnel and endangered persons. Employs firefighting measures to minimize the loss or damage as a result of fire or explosions. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.</li><li>Must have a valid U.S. passport with a minimum of one year remaining.</li><li>Must have valid US Driver's license.</li><li>Knowledge of and experience in the operations of hardware systems and components.</li><li>Experience in fault detection, isolation, and correction of hardware systems and individual components.</li><li>Ability to perform routine system maintenance and analysis functions including: hardware configurations; adding, removing and replacing hardware components; use of hardware and software diagnostic testing tools; reading of electronic circuit schematics; and repairing printed circuit boards.</li><li>At least one (1) year previous Aerostat experience OR two (2) years of experience in the following areas may be substituted in lieu of aerostat experience:</li><ul><li>1) Electrical Maintenance Mechanic</li><ul><li>Possess at least two (2) year s aerostat experience as an operator at the 20 series level or greater from Army MOS 35F (Intelligence Analyst), 35G (Geospatial Intelligence Imagery Analyst), 35H (Common Ground System Analyst), 96R (Ground Surveillance Systems Operator), 96U (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Operator), or military branch equivalent.</li><li>Two years of hands-on experience in performing operations and maintenance tasks either on an AEROSTAT system or a related industry/military equivalent is required.</li><li>Must be qualified at the 10 series or greater level (via military or civilian technical schools) is required.</li><li>Ability to read electronic schematics.</li><li>O&M of electro-mechanical equipment to include one or more of the following:</li><ul><li>Hydraulic/servo valves</li><li>Hydraulic actuators, control systems</li><li>Test and diagnostic equipment</li></ul></ul><li>2) Networking, IT & information systems</li><ul><li>Two years experience is required.</li><li>Must be qualified at the 10 series or greater level; MOS 25B/F or other military branch equivalent or industry occupational specialties as a CISCO Network Administrator; Army MOS 25L/N or other military branch equivalent or industry occupational specialties as a Network Installation (BICSI or Network + or Comp T Certification) will be considered.</li><li>CCIE certification with fiber optic certification is preferred.</li></ul><li>3) Mechanical Maintenance</li><ul><li>Mechanical Maintenance with qualifications at the 10 series or greater from U.S. Army MOS 94D/X and 91/B/S/W or other military branch equivalent, or industry occupational specialties such National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certified Truck Mechanic or Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) General Mechanic 1 or greater.</li><li>Two years of hands-on experience on an AEROSTAT system or a related industry/military equivalent is required.</li><li>O&M of mechanical equipment to include one or more of the following: Hydraulic systems, Winch systems, Tether/cable handling systems, Industrial generator sets, Power switch gear, HVAC, Cranes Aerial lift , Forklift , Industrial generator sets</li></ul></ul><p>Physical Requirements:</p><ul><li>Requires the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.</li><li>Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.</li><li>Requires the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift.</li><li>Requires the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.</li><li>Requires the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.</li><li>Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.</li><li>Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.</li></ul><p>Medical Requirements</p><ul><li>Successfully complete and pass the medical and dental examinations as required by Amentum and our customer for deployment to Iraq.</li><li>Must maintain physical and dental requirements for the duration of the deployment.</li></ul><p>Working and Living Conditions: This position may be located in a war zone, in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere desert-like environment. Temperatures can reach 130 degrees Fahrenheit/50-55 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment, as well as willing and able to deploy to CENTCOM, EUCOM, and AFRICOM for extended periods. Work schedules are a minimum of 6 days per week and 10 hours per day, while some jobs have higher daily and weekly minimums.</p></ul><p></p></section>
