<p><h4>Purpose and scope:</h4> <p>Supervise the maintenance cycle to ensure satisfactory completion of the program objectives.</p> <h4>Essential responsibilities:</h4> <ul> <li>Supervise all maintenance operations for assigned equipment in accordance with applicable PWS, company policies, OSHA, DOT, ANSI, ASME and applicable military regulations.</li> <li>Supervise shop foreman and mechanics to include vacation planning, discipline, conducting performance evaluations, and training.</li> <li>Establish job priorities and estimate down time.</li> <li>Coordinate workflow for downed equipment waiting for parts to minimize backlog of work and cost to customer division.</li> <li>Provide direct support to internal and external customers to ensure compliance, tracking efficiency, burn rates, equipment usage and maximizing cost avoidance measures.</li> <li>Supervise the recovery operations of MHE, VE, CE, heavy and light vehicle maintenance throughout assigned area of operation.</li> <li>Coordinate the proper administration, maintenance and distribution of approved publications, warranty documentation, and LDD and ECOD documentation.</li> <li>Provide input to management for forecasting and monitoring of the stock levels for required service and repair parts and petroleum.</li> <li>Responsible for the accurate and timely submission of all required plans and reports.</li> <li>Maintain effective lines of formal and informal communication amongst all levels of management and the customer as required.</li> <li>Coordinate collection and preparation of activity reports.</li> <li>Supervise and coordinate all maintenance activities required per the preventive maintenance program.</li> <li>Provide for and enforce guidelines to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all assigned employees.</li> <li>Act as the point of contact for all maintenance issues in the absence of the Maintenance Manager.</li> <li>Monitor team development and ensure the execution of performance evaluations in accordance with DI policy.</li> <li>Conduct site visits to establish professional relationships with maintenance teams, site personnel, and the customer as needed.</li> <li>Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.</li> </ul> <h4>Minimum position knowledge, skills, and abilities required:</h4> <ul> <li>Associate's degree in an associated discipline.</li> <li>Two years of experience in related field can be substituted for each year of college.</li> <li>Six to eight years of logistics experience in a military or tactical environment.</li> <li>Prefer at least three years in a maintenance supervisor environment.</li> <li>Understanding of organizational maintenance and supply concepts and procedures.</li> <li>Understanding of maintenance production, production control and knowledge of U.S. Army maintenance support systems.</li> <li>Knowledge of MHE, heavy truck and/or heavy equipment.</li> <li>Knowledge of equipment parts acquisition, warranty, LDD, and ECOD submissions.</li> <li>Must possess knowledge of DOT, OSHA, ANSI, ASME, military regulations, standards and OEM requirements.</li> <li>Knowledge of diagnostics and ability to conduct technical research.</li> <li>Strong understanding of Department of Defense contracting policies and procedures.</li> <li>Outstanding problem solving skills and sound judgment.</li> <li>Excellent writing, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Demonstrative proficiency in Microsoft applications.</li> <li>Must be able to meet deployment status requirements.</li> </ul> <h4>Work environment, physical demands, and mental demands:</h4> <ul> <li>Ability to stand, sit, walk, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, push and pull.</li> <li>Ability to lift and carry up to fifty pounds.</li> <li>Assist in lifting up to one hundred pounds.</li> <li>Able to work in both inside and outside conditions.</li> <li>Be exposed to dust, fumes and gases from running engines and motors.</li> <li>Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.</li> <li>Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.</li> <li>Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.</li> <li>Ability to travel domestically and internationally.</li> </ul> <h4>Other responsibilities:</h4> <ul> <li><strong>Safety:</strong> Enforce a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
