<p>This role aims to provide environmental technical support to the MFD. This role has a strong emphasis on environmental compliance and emergency response. Candidates should be recognised for expertise in the environmental function including but not limited to: emissions, disturbed lands remediation, biodiversity, ecological impacts and environmental management system, as well as waste management and minimisation. The environmental function supports company operations, and this person should have a customer-focused and change management mindset.</p>
<h4>Duties and responsibilities</h4>

<li>Implementing environmental policies and practices in Majnoon Oilfield development.</li>
<li>Devising strategies to meet targets and encourage best practices.</li>
<li>Devising the best tools and systems to monitor performance and implement strategies.</li>
<li>Ensuring compliance with Iraqi environmental legislation.</li>
<li>Assessing, analysing and collating environmental performance data and reporting information to internal staff, clients and regulatory bodies.</li>
<li>Responsible for ensuring that the contractors are fully complying with all environmental policies and regulations of the MFD.</li>
<li>Responsible for conducting environmental inspections, developing inspection reports, creating SMART actions and follow-up actions to closure, and supporting field environmental survey work.</li>

<h4>Qualification & training requirements</h4>

The project focuses on three key objectives: 1. Water Management: Improve water availability and increase irrigation efficiency to ensure sustainable water supply for agricultural production in the targeted governorates. 2. Climate Change Adaptation: Reduce the impacts of climate change, particularly declining rainfall and increasing water scarcity, by supporting more resilient and efficient irrigated agriculture systems. 3. Agricultural Development: Enhance the productivity and profitability of smallholder farmers and agri-businesses, contributing to improved livelihoods and economic opportunities for vulnerable rural communities. As part of its implementation responsibilities, OUR CLIENT will oversee the design and rehabilitation of irrigation infrastructure, including the lining of water canals, installation of closed irrigation systems, and rehabilitation of pumping stations. The project is expected to be implemented by a team of approximately five personnel and has an estimated budget of USD 12 million. 2. Purpose and Scope of Assignment The HSSE Field Monitor will report directly to the HSSE Senior Analyst / Project Manager and will work in close coordination with Site Engineers and other project team members. The primary function of the HSSE Field Monitor is to support the implementation and monitoring of health, safety, social and environmental measures at project field sites, ensuring that all activities are conducted in compliance with applicable HSSE standards, OUR CLIENT policies, and international best practices. The HSSE Field Monitor shall carry out routine field-level inspections, observation of work activities, reporting of hazards and incidents, and support to awareness-raising efforts among workers and contractors on construction or development project sites. <p><b>Title:</b></p><br><br>Senior CWI Engineer<br><br>Position Details<ul><li>Position Title: CWI Senior Engineer</li><li>Department: Wells</li><li>Location: Majnoon Oil Field – Basra, Iraq</li><li>Reports to: CWI Engineering Team Lead</li><li>Direct Reports: None</li></ul>1. Role Purpose<p>Provide engineering expertise in the planning, design, and execution support of completions, workover, well intervention and well integrity operations. Ensure high-quality engineering input, technical assurance, well integrity compliance, and continuous performance improvement across CWI operations.</p><br><br>2. Key ResponsibilitiesHSSE & Well Integrity<ul><li>Champion a proactive safety culture with Zero Harm.</li><li>Conduct site safety visits, audits, and toolbox talk reviews.</li><li>Ensure compliance with well integrity standards such as NORSOK D‑010</li><li>Ensure engineering designs comply with HSSE policies, Life-Saving Rules, and well integrity guidelines.</li><li>Participate in risk assessments, HAZID, HAZOP, and technical assurance reviews.</li><li>Support incident investigations by providing technical analysis and recommendations.</li></ul>Program Development & Technical Assurance<ul><li>Prepare and review Completion Programs, Workover Programs, and Intervention Procedures.</li><li>Develop well schematics, tool string designs, barrier philosophies, and risk assessments.</li><li>Ensure engineering designs comply with well integrity standards and operational requirements.</li><li>Perform technical evaluations for new technologies, equipment, and intervention methods.</li></ul>Operational Support & Problem Solving<ul><li>Provide real-time engineering support to wellsite supervisors during operations.</li><li>Analyze operational challenges and propose technical solutions.</li><li>Perform pre-job and post-job reviews to ensure procedural compliance.</li><li>Support SIMOPS planning and coordination with Production, Subsurface, and Drilling teams.</li></ul>Cost & Schedule Control<ul><li>Support development of budgets, forecasts, and AFE inputs.</li><li>Monitor job efficiency, performance, and operational KPIs.</li><li>Identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising safety or quality.</li></ul>Contractor & Performance Management<ul><li>Lead technical interface with service companies and contractors.</li><li>Evaluate technical proposals, equipment specifications, and new technologies.</li><li>Support tendering, technical evaluations, scopes of work, and contract management.</li><li>Monitor service quality and ensure alignment with engineering requirements.</li></ul>Reporting & Governance<ul><li>Review technical proposals from service companies and ensure alignment with operational requirements.</li><li>Participate in contractor performance reviews and technical evaluations.</li><li>Ensure QA/QC compliance for equipment and tools used in rigless operations.</li></ul>3. Qualifications & Experience<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.</li><li>8-12+ years of experience in completions, well intervention, workover, and well integrity engineering disciplines.</li><li>Valid IWCF Level 4 Well Intervention Pressure Control certification.</li><li>Strong experience leading CWI engineering teams in high‑activity onshore fields.</li><li>Comprehensive understanding of well integrity standards (e.g., NORSOK D‑010), well control, and barrier management.</li><li>Strong knowledge of international standards (API, ISO, IOGP) and regulatory compliance requirements.</li><li>Expertise in completion, CT, slickline, e-line, ESP, stimulation, and workover engineering.</li><li>Experience in Iraq/Majnoon preferred.</li><li>Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.</li></ul>4.
