<h4>Situation in organization</h4>
<p>The Reporting Engineer position is within the Project Control Organization of the project reporting to the Planning & Reporting Manager.</p>
<h4>Job dimensions</h4>
<p>The Reporting Engineer is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting project performance data to support decision-making and ensure transparency across all phases of the CSSP project. The role contributes to the timely and accurate delivery of internal and external reports, dashboards, and KPIs, including HSE and risk-related metrics.</p>
<p>In addition, the Reporting Engineer is responsible for supporting project digitalization and information management initiatives, ensuring the effective governance, quality, accessibility, and integration of project information across all participating organizations. The position oversees the Information Management Assistant function and promotes the efficient use of digital collaboration platforms, reporting systems, document management tools, and data-sharing solutions to enhance project execution and stakeholder alignment.</p>
<p>The role acts as a focal point between Project Controls, Engineering, Construction, HSE, Contractors, and Company stakeholders to ensure consistency, traceability, and reliability of project data and information throughout the project lifecycle.</p>
<p>Iraq Common Seawater Supply Project (CSSP) intends to provide treated seawater to the oil fields in southern Iraq (for injection). CSSP is composed of water pipelines which are part of Basra Oil Company (BOC) scope of work, and the Water Infrastructure Project (WIP), previously named STF (Seawater Treatment Facilities). The WIP will be located on the west side of the Khor Al Zubair, upstream of the port of Umm Qasr.</p>
<p>The major components of the WIP include seawater intake and outfall structures, material offloading facility, seawater clarification, filtration and deoxygenating processes, shipping pumps, a fuel gas pipeline, power generation, utilities and non-process.</p>
<p>The budget of the WIP is circa $3 billion.</p>
<p>The Reporting Engineer is expected to commence duties in the 3rd quarter of 2026 and will be based in Basra.</p>
<h4>Activities</h4>
<p><strong>1- Reporting & Analysis</strong><br>
<li>Collect and validate progress data from various project disciplines (engineering, procurement, construction, HSE, etc.).</li>
<li>Prepare and update weekly/monthly progress reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.</li>
<li>Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including physical progress, productivity, and forecasted completion dates.</li>
<li>Support the Planning & Reporting Manager in preparing presentations for internal and external stakeholders.</li>

<li>Monitor and report HSE performance indicators (e.g., LTIs, TRIR, safety observations) in coordination with HSE teams.</li>

<p>The planning engineer will report to the project control manager. Specific responsibilities include:</p>

<li>Developing and maintaining project execution schedules including level 1/2/3 schedules using tools like Primavera P6. Ensure alignment on project assumptions with cost engineering, cost estimation, risk management and project management.</li>
<li>Implement schedule requirements of company into the planning and cascade these to the contractors accordingly.</li>
<li>Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather inputs for the master schedule.</li>
<li>Monitor progress and update schedules regularly to reflect actual performance.</li>
<li>Identifying trends or potential slippages and report on these to the project engineers or the project services lead.</li>
<li>Producing regular reports on progress against schedule. Reporting schedule performance index (SPI).</li>
<li>Deliver and maintain consistent and realistic plans and control structures for the project. Understand the list of plans required to execute the assigned project sub-elements and their interface to other sub-elements. Develop the activities, durations as per productivity norms, logic, resources and progress for the assigned project sub-elements, leading to the creation of the baseline schedule and its subsequent maintenance.</li>
<li>Develop, implement and comply with the planning and progress monitoring procedures.</li>
<li>Conduct the schedule monthly progress update, forecast, critical path and trend analyses for assigned elements, including any impact from interface areas. Implement and maintain the status reports. Provide regular and comprehensive schedule status reports to project engineers.</li>
<li>Liaise with and challenge project engineering personnel to ensure proper understanding of the key schedule sensitivities and drivers.</li>
<li>Develop contract key dates, milestones and project hub plan dates that align with the overall project schedule.</li>

The Construction phase and Mechanical Completion are ongoing, Commissioning to be started very sooner. An experienced reinforcement is required to support the Commissioning & Start-Up Manager, drive contractors across all disciplines and accelerate activities in fast-track mode, with no compromise on safety or quality.</p><br><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><br><ul> <li><strong>Monitoring & driving</strong>: Ensure day-to-day monitoring of contractors’ progress across all disciplines (ICSS, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC, utilities…).</li> <li><strong>Acceleration</strong>: Challenge contractors, identify bottlenecks, enforce priorities and push teams to meet commissioning milestones.</li> <li><strong>Methodology</strong>: ORBIT methodology is considered for this project for the follow up of (subsystems, ITR, punch lists, MC/RFCC, completion dossiers). </li> <li><strong>Documentation</strong>: To make sure of the readiness of procedure and dossier to be ready for the activities. Identifies innovative ways to apply HAL technology, service capability and expertise within the context of understanding the reservoir, production and facilities to design new, step-change field exploitation methodologies. Integral member of the multi-discipline Production Team comprised of a reservoir engineer, production geologist and field personnel team. Analyzes production history, well files, production equipment and decline curve analysis and nodal analysis of well performance to estimate remaining recoverable reserves, production and cost of upgrading equipment. Selects and implements production technology, service capability and expertise including completion systems comprised of tubing selection, perforating, sand control and fine migration, matrix stimulation, water control and hydraulic fracturing; artificial lift equipment comprised of sucker-rod lift, gas lift, electrical submersible pumps, subsurface hydraulic pumps, progressing-cavity pumps and plunger lift; real-time surveillance and monitoring systems and waterflooding and other enhanced recovery techniques. Uses decline curve analysis and nodal analysis to identify workovers or recompletions candidates and to select and upgrade production equipment. Focuses on maintaining and increasing daily production through optimizing well performance and field operations while controlling operating costs. Performs daily field operations including optimizing well behavior, production, water disposal, chemical injection and treatment, waterflood performance and artificial lift systems. Evaluates proposed modifications to equipment or to operating procedures to improve safety, efficiency and reliability of equipment and ensures all modifications meet statutory and Company standards.
