<p>Job specification: The postholder plays a critical role in the readiness of Canines. He/She is the lead in overseeing canine operations, and ensuring K9 readiness, compliance with MOI K9 Training & Evaluation Directorate and aviation security standards, and effective deployment of K9 teams to check points for screening and patrols where required. The post holder works directly for the Head of the K9 Unit in managing the daily operations, canine logistics, and closely with the K9 Training Team in ensuring that all handlers and K9s are fully trained, certified and operationally effective. He/She works with the Unit Veterinarian in overseeing canine welfare, daily nutrition and daily kenneling activities. Finally, to support the Head of K9 Unit in liaising with regulatory authorities and ensuring compliance with the MOI Directorate of Training & Evaluation with Veterinary and Technical compliance standards required for certification, through drills, exercises and evaluations.
