<p><h4>Essential responsibilities:</h4>
<p>Aerostat operators/user-level maintainers will participate in the overall, hands-on operation of the aerostat system including launch, in-flight, recovery, and moored activities.</p>
<p>Candidates will perform all functions to operate the Persistent Ground Surveillance System (PGSS) and Persistent Threat Detection System (PTDS), an aerostat mounted Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform, its Mobile Mooring Platform (MMP), sensor payloads, communications and navigation systems, as well as associated support equipment including boom lift, forklift, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), and electrical power generators.</p>
<p>Additional responsibilities include performing analyses of system operations. Candidates must have:</p>
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of and experience in the operations of hardware systems and components.</li>
<li>Experience in fault detection, isolation, and correction of hardware systems and individual components.</li>

<p>Candidates will perform user-level maintenance functions including performing hands-on Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), troubleshooting, removing and replacing Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), and removing and replacing payloads.</p>
<p>Candidates must possess a diverse range of skills with the ability to quickly adapt to new situations. Tasks will be performed under the direction of higher classified technicians and/or site personnel.</p>
<h4>Minimum requirements:</h4>

<h4>Working and living conditions:</h4>
<p>This position may be located in a war zone, in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to an extreme and austere desert-like environment. Temperatures can reach 120-130 degrees Fahrenheit (50-55 degrees Celsius) during the summer months.</p>
<p>Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment, as well as willing and able to deploy to CENTCOM, EUCOM, and AFRICOM for extended periods.</p>
<p>Work schedules are a minimum of six days per week and ten hours per day, while some jobs have higher daily and weekly minimums.</p></p><p></p>

Under the overall direction of the Protection Unit, and in coordination with other UNHCR staff, government, NGO partners and other stakeholders, the Assistant Community-Based Protection Officer works directly with communities of concern to identify the risks they face and to leverage their capacities to protect themselves, their families and communities. The incumbent may have direct supervisory responsibility for part of the protection and/or support staff and supports the application of community-based protection standards, operational procedures and practices in community-based protection delivery at the field level. Master s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management or another relevant field.</li><li>A professional qualification or certification in accounting, finance or audit would be an asset.</li></ul><p>Experience</p><ul><li>Minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional experience in finance, accounting, grants finance or financial management, preferably within an international NGO, humanitarian or development organisation.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in project budgeting, Budget versus Actual (BvA) analysis, financial monitoring, forecasting and financial reporting.</li><li>Experience managing the financial requirements of multiple projects and institutional donor funded programmes.</li><li>Experience with donor financial compliance, financial controls, audits and/or expenditure verifications.</li><li>Experience working with local partners, including reviewing partner financial reporting, monitoring financial compliance and/or strengthening partner financial management capacity, is highly desirable.</li><li>Experience setting-up an ERP system would be a strong asset.</li><li>Previous experience in a regional or multi-country role and/or working within the Middle East is an asset.</li><li>Experience contributing to the development or improvement of financial systems, policies, procedures and tools
