<p><h4>Essential responsibilities:</h4> <p>Aerostat operators/user-level maintainers will participate in the overall, hands-on operation of the aerostat system including launch, in-flight, recovery, and moored activities.</p> <p>Candidates will perform all functions to operate the Persistent Ground Surveillance System (PGSS) and Persistent Threat Detection System (PTDS), an aerostat mounted Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform, its Mobile Mooring Platform (MMP), sensor payloads, communications and navigation systems, as well as associated support equipment including boom lift, forklift, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), and electrical power generators.</p> <p>Additional responsibilities include performing analyses of system operations. <p>Purpose and Scope: Supervise the Maintenance cycle to ensure satisfactory completion of the program objectives. Essential Responsibilities: Supervises all maintenance operations for assigned equipment in accordance with applicable PWS, Company policies, OSHA, DOT, ANSI, ASME and applicable military regulations. Supervises shop foreman and mechanics to include vacation planning, discipline, conducting performance evaluations, and training. Establishes job priorities and estimates down time. Coordinates work flow for downed equipment waiting for parts to minimize backlog of work and cost to customer division. Provides direct support to internal/external customers to ensure compliance, tracking efficiency, burn rates, equipment usage and maximizing cost avoidance measures. Supervises the recovery operations of MHE, VE, CE, Heavy and Light vehicle maintenance throughout assigned area of operation. Coordinates the proper administration, maintenance and distribution of approved publications, warranty documentation, and LDD and ECOD documentation. Provides input to management for forecasting and monitoring of the stock levels for required service/repair parts and petroleum. Responsible for the accurate and timely submission of all required plans and reports. Maintains effective lines of formal and informal communication amongst all levels of management (and the customer) as required. Coordinates collection and preparation of activity reports. Supervise and coordinate all maintenance activities required per the preventive maintenance program.
