Services include on-scene incident management, aircraft rescue and firefighting, structural firefighting, response to hazardous materials, technical rescue to include auto extrication and confined space rescue and emergency medical services support. + Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures; recommend, within company policy, appropriate service and staffing levels. + Plan, direct, coordinate, and review the work plan for fire service staff; assign work activities, projects, and programs; review and evaluate work products, methods, and procedures. + Meet with staff to identify and resolve problems. + Select, train, motivate, and evaluate fire service personnel. + Provide or coordinate staff training. + Work with employees to correct deficiencies. + Implement discipline and termination procedures. + Ensure that equipment, safety clothing, apparatus, and supplies are specified, purchased, received, distributed in an effective and consistent + Performs Job Duties as assigned. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months). + Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well. <p>Job description: • The incumbent is responsible for the management and supervision of all airside operations activities at Karbala International Airport (KIA), requiring specific technical competencies, skills and behavioral attributes, ensuring a safe, secure and efficient airside environment in full compliance with applicable national regulations and ICAO SARPS, including oversight of airside safety, permits and licensing, wildlife and landscaping and standards training and development Sections. Human and Technical Resources • Ensures that subordinate Sections have the necessary and appropriate number of staff to provide the services and tasks within airside operations, and that they have received training on the competencies and skills required for their functions; • Determines and evaluates that the Sections within ASO Department have the necessary number and type of equipment required for operational tasks, that they are properly maintained, and that they are in good and safe operating condition; • Plans, coordinates and supervises the execution of all operational activities within the ASO Department, including AMG, SST, PEL and WLS Sections; • Implements and enforces the approved corporative policies within the Airside Operations Department; Planning and Programmes • Develop, implement and maintain the ASO Manuals and all associated airside standard operational procedures (SOPs), in compliance with ICAA ICAR 12, ICAO Annex 14 SARPs, and KIA requirements; ensure periodic review, update and formal approval of all operational documents. • Coordinate the preparation, review and approval of all ASO SOPs, and Work Instructions (WIs) for all sections (AMG, SST, PEL and WLS), ensuring alignment with the AOM and applicable regulatory requirements. • Develop and maintain the ASO Annual Training Programme, covering initial qualification, recurrent and competency-based training for all ASO staff, including airside safety, airside driving, wildlife hazard management and standards, in compliance with ICAA and ICAO SARPS. • Prepare and maintain the Airside Contingency Plan covering abnormal and disrupted airside operations scenarios, including runway and taxiway closures, FOD events, wildlife strikes, and airside emergencies; ensure alignment with the Airport Emergency Plan (AEP) and that all ASO staff are trained on their respective roles and procedures. • In coordination with the E&M Department, support the development of the ASO Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance Plan, defining preventive maintenance schedules, inspection cycles and replacement planning for all ASO operational equipment, airside vehicles and specialist tools assigned to the department. • Prepare and submit the annual ASO Plan, including operational objectives, KPIs, resource needs and CAPEX/OPEX proposals, aligned with airport strategic goals; monitor progress and report to the Airport Operations Director. <p>The Site EHS Specialist is a key member of our EHS Team and a critical partner for our operational site teams at planning, project execution and post outage review stage. The Field EHS Specialist I is responsible for supporting with the creation and execution of a comprehensive EHS plan on our operational site, that drives the best-in-class standards of EHS and sustainability. The objective of this role is to observe, advise, coach and support those with operational responsibilities during planning phase and on-site execution, to prevent injuries, help drive accountability and remain in compliance with company/client EHS policies, programs, and procedures alongside country legislative standards. The field EHS team are central to the adoption, communication, and implementation of injury preventative EHS initiatives and campaigns to reiterate our NO HARM culture.</p><p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; <p>Job description: • The incumbent is responsible for the management and supervision of all airside operations activities at Karbala International Airport (KIA), requiring specific technical competencies, skills and behavioral attributes, ensuring a safe, secure and efficient airside environment in full compliance with applicable national regulations and ICAO SARPS, including oversight of airside safety, permits and licensing, wildlife and landscaping and standards training and development Sections. <p>Seeking a full-time professional in Iraq, supporting Navigational Aids (NAVAIDS) Maintenance &amp; Repair Support project. This position supports 24/7 aviation operations in a deployed environment and ensures safe, efficient, and compliant airfield operations while supporting mission-critical systems.</p><p>Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and replace runway, taxiway, apron, threshold, approach lighting systems, airfield guidance signs, airfield beacons, REILs, and PAPI systems. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) systems in accordance with FAA, ICAO, UFC, and contract requirements. Diagnose and repair faults in Constant Current Regulators (CCR), isolation transformers, underground cable circuits, lighting vault equipment, and control systems. Conduct routine airfield inspections to verify operational readiness and compliance of lighting and visual navigation aids. Perform electrical testing, insulation resistance (Megger) testing, continuity testing, and fault isolation using specialized diagnostic equipment. The role is responsible for ensuring all assigned facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition, in full compliance with KBR policies, U.S. Government standards, and Embassy regulations. Assist implements the Fire Prevention Program to ensure compliance with Performance Work Statement, Army Regulation 420-1, DoDI 6055.06, Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), policies, and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.</p><p>Conducts inspections and maintains documentation of all facility fire inspections. Performs plan reviews to ensure fire protection systems are IAW with policies and UFC s guidance. Participates and maintains the fire extinguisher exchange program for facilities. Conducts Facility Manager, Fire Warden and other fire prevention training. Works with DPW, conducts final acceptance inspections on new construction, and renovation projects. Maintains appropriate documentation on the inspection and testing of sprinkler systems. Participate in Environmental Safety and Health (ESH) programs. Helps formulate long range goals related protection of personnel, facilities, materials, and equipment.
